Lipedema
Lipedema: Prevalent and chronic
Lipedema, or painful fat syndrome, is a chronic disease occurring primarily in women: over 16 million women (11%) in the United States may be affected. The disease is characterized by bilateral, symmetrical swelling and enlargement of the lower limbs due to deposit of fat under the skin. Current treatments are supportive, alleviating symptoms only. Liposuction, the only interventional treatment, has limited efficacy and applies only to a fraction of the patients. RZL-012 can become a surgery-free, convenient and safe way to reduce fat deposits in Lipedema patients.

RZL-012 for Dercum’s disease - Phase 2a clinical study data:
- 50% average height reduction in lipomas – 8 out of 18 treated lipomas completely cleared
